Operatives of the Kano State Hisbah Board have confiscated over 5,000 bottles of alcoholic drinks stocked in three vehicles.
The Commander General of the board, Harun Ibn-Sina, disclosed this while inspecting the impounded vehicles at the board’s office.

He said the vehicles were a Mercedes Benz car which had 1,800 bottles of beer in it; a Sienna conveying 3,000 bottles of beer and a Volkswagen Golf conveying 1,000 bottles of beer.
Ibn-Sina, while commending the anti-intoxicants unit that impounded the vehicles for a job well done, reiterated the board’s commitment in putting to an end the consumption and trade of alcoholic beverages in the state.
He, therefore, directed the legal department of the board to follow due process by handing over the consignment to the court.
