5,000 to benefit from Dogara’s free medical intervention

People across Bauchi State are to benefit from a ‎free two-week medical treatment programme sponsored by the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
The programme is being carried out by a medical non-governmental organisation (NGO), Doctors On The Move Africa.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi yesterday, the speaker said that the free medical treatment scheme will benefit over 5,000 across the state.
People from the speaker’s Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency whom he represents had earlier benefited from a similar exercise.
In his welcome address, the Senator representing Bauchi South in the National Assembly, Senator Ali Wakili, thanked the speaker for the gesture extended to the people.
In his remark, the Medical Director of the ATBUTH, Dr Mohammed Alkali expressed appreciation to Dogara for the gesture.
Also the team leader of Doctors on the Move Africa, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu educated the people on how not to contract diseases like diabetes, Lassa fever and hypertension.
