A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of Mallam Bamaiyi Auahaji, 55, for allegedly raping two minors twice in the state.
The prosecutor, Inspector Moyosola Adesola, said the defendant was reasonably suspected to have committed the offence of rape on the two victims, aged seven and nine.
The prosecutor noted that the offence was punishable under Section 31 of Child right Law of Ekiti State, 2021,
The prosecutor said the defendant allegedly defiled the minors two times between April and May, 2025.

Inspector Adesola said the case file had been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions in the state and urged the court to remand the defendant at a correctional centre.
Chief Magistrate Bankole Oluwasanmi ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned the case to June 23, for mention.
