5G network is the fifth-generation cellular network technology. It is more efficient compared to the first, second, third and fourth generation technology networks for they easily get congested with information and slow down the desired speed by the users. It suffices to say that the 5G network surmounts all the challenges faced by the networks before it since the beginning of the new millennium in 2000. The 5G technology has both its opportunities and attendant challenges.
5G network enables smart phone users to download videos, audios, pictures of all forms and sizes and myriads of other large texts faster than any other existing network.
In the area of education, learning, limitless research and assessing all sorts of information online, 5G technology is apt with seamless speed at the service of the user. The speed and bandwidth of this technology provides opportunity to control the unnecessary operation of phones for games by children. At times, children play games freely to the detriment of their studies and other domestic activities. Using the 5G network, parents can easily checkmate the trend.
In addition to that, 5G network is not only useful to individuals, but it also allows developers to deploy applications faster and easier. This means that it is not challenged by the size or weight of any application the user feels he/she would deploy.
Furthermore, it enhances communication system in the best way one could ever imagine effortlessly and efficiently.
On the other hand, 5G network doesn’t come without challenges that may sometimes suggest the absence of the technology. For instance, it may allow criminals to use it in boosting their illicit activities. This is why Yahoo boys operate at the peak today. Financial crimes like scamming, shortchanging, racketeering and the rest are easily carried out online using this fast technology.
Moreover, the technology brings about unhealthy segregation because it is likely restricted to the cities thereby denying those in the rural areas access to it.
Another challenge in the 5G technology is that it downgrades other (previous) networks making them seem outdated and less useful. Traditionally, latest technologies always outshine the patronage for, and the performance of old ones.
Similarly, the efficiency and high performance of 5G network may be hampered by the existence of tall trees or buildings (towers) around. Therefore, areas surrounded by tall buildings and trees may be blocked from the 5G network.
Finally, it suffices to say that whatever has advantages must have disadvantages, and the same applies to 5G technology.
