6 arraigned over fight in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned six men, are Gorun Goodluck (25), Oke Oluwaseun (26), Oladimeji Olarewaju (26), Faruq Adeniyi (25), Ojuade Oluwatobi (24) and Oluwafemi Ayodele (28), in an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over engaging in a public fight.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on September 14, beside VIS in Ado-Ekiti, the defendants unlawfully engaged in a fight contrary to Section 67 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Adeyemi Egbebi, urged the court to grant them bail.

The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail in the sum of N20,000 each with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to October 18.
