The Ambe community in Arak Chiefdom, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday night came under a bandits’ attack that left six people dead and eight others injured.
According to a resident who spoke on condition of anonymity, the attack occurred without any prior conflict with neighbouring communities, suggesting that it was a targeted assault by criminal elements.
While the Kaduna State Government was yet to officially comment on the incident, Daniel Amos, the lawmaker representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, issued a statement strongly condemning the attack.
In his statement, Amos expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and injuries sustained by several others in the brutal assault.

He decried the attack as an attempt to disrupt the peace and security of the community and called for swift action to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Amos urged residents of Sanga LGA to remain calm and peaceful in the face of adversity, assuring them that efforts were underway to address the insecurity plaguing the area.
He emphasised the need for collaboration between security agencies and the local community to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
Meanwhile, ASP Mansur Hassan, the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the attack, stating that five people were killed and that one suspect had been apprehended.
