6 killed in attack on Akwa Ibom police station

This is the fourth police station in Akwa Ibom state to be attacked

Unconfirmed reports say six police officers have been killed in a gun attack on a divisional police station in Ini council area of Akwa Ibom State.

Cars and parts of the building were set ablaze in the attack early Saturday.

The state police command is yet to issue a statement on the attack and its spokesperson, SP Odiko MacDon is yet to comment on the incident as he is unreachable at the time of this report.

This is the fourth police station in Akwa Ibom state to be attacked.

Others are Ika, Essien Udim and Ikono divisional police stations.
