The police in Edo State have arrested seven persons for allegedly planning to attack members of the Edo State Security Network.

The command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwanbuzor, said the police received information that hoodlums were gathering at King’s Square in a clandestine manner with the intention to attack members of the Edo State Security Network and cause mayhem to members of the public.

He listed the suspects as Osaremen Osaze (23), Godstime Awolowo (33), Lucky Awiko (34), Osas Okoro (18), Destiny Edet (20), Osagie Osaze (21) and Obi Chidera (23).

In a related development, Chidi said the police arrested two suspects over alleged cultism.
