Seven persons on Sunday were killed in an accident that occurred at Agbede community in Etsako West LGA of Edo State.

It was gathered that the accident happened on the Benin-Auchi highway when a tanker conveying petrol rammed into other vehicles, caught fire in which seven persons were jkilled and several others injured.

The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Henry Benamaisa, who confirmed the accident, attributed it to break failure.

He said, “Fourteen vehicles were involved in the accident, with 25 persons. Seven died while others sustained injuries.’’
