The police in Ekiti State have arraigned seven youths at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged stealing of various items.

The defendants are Harunah Abubakar, Yasiri Muhammed, Awolu Salisu, Ibrahim Yakubu, Ibrahim Abdulkadiri, Abubakar Ibrahim, and Ibrahim Isah, all approximately 18 years old.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, stated that on July 9, at about 13:00 hours, at the Atikankan area in Ado-Ekiti, the defendants were found in possession of 10 pieces of different trousers, nine t-shirts, 72 charger cords, three chargers, one pair of white canvas shoes, six different rubber slippers, among other items suspected to have been stolen.
