Days after news made rounds that more than 10,000 candidates were involved in examination malpractice in Anambra state, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says only seven people were involved across 28 centres in the state.

JAMB coordinator in the state, Lynda Nwachukwu, said she was misquoted, and shocked at the outrageous figure over exams she considered successful.

"I remember telling the journalists who spoke with me on this matter that between seven and ten persons were arrested for malpractices throughout the 28 centres in Anambra, and wondered how such figure was arrived at" she said.
