Seven persons, who were abducted by kidnappers in Jalingo last week have regained freedom.

The seven persons were reportedly abducted by kidnappers at Sabon Gida  town in Gassol Local Government Area while on  their way to Ibbi town after attending a rally organized to welcome Governor Darius Ishaku, who returned to Jalingo last week.

A relation of one of the victims, Muhammed Ibrahim, told Daily Trust that the abducted persons were released early Monday morning.

He said N6 million was paid as ransom to the kidnappers Sunday night after negotiation between relations of the victims and the abductors.
