As part of the 7th year remembrance of a former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, his political associates and family yesterday gathered to pray for the repose of his soul.
The son of the deceased, Dapo Lam Adesina, awarded N10,000 bursary each to 120 indigenous students of the state through the Omo Olore Educational Support Scheme as part of the programme.
At the special prayer organized for the late former governor, politicians across political parties put aside their differences to align with his political ideologies.
Lamidi Adesina was Oyo State governor between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD).
Politicians at the event included those from APC, PDP, African Democratic Congress (ADC) and African Democratic Party (ADP) among others.
Some of the dignitaries who attended the event included wife of a former governor, Mrs Sarat Adeshina, former deputy Governor Iyiola Oladokun, Chief Michael Koleosho, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and a former member of the House of Representatives, Mr Dapo Lam-Adeshina.
