The governor made this disclosure while briefing newsmen on the outcome of his recent 10-day visit to China. Daniel said he was enthused that his aggressive industrialisation policies of the State had led to the commitment of the Chinese government to site the over 70 companies in the state.

He emphasised that the need to secure the future of youths through creation of employment opportunities and diversification from the already saturated civil service informed the industrialisation process of the state.

Daniel stressed further that the private sector’s participation needed to be encouraged in order to create employment opportunity for thousand of graduates from higher institutions of learning, citing China as a major and strategic partner which had been playing play prominent role in the rapid industrialization of the State.

The governor maintained that his trip to China, “is to reciprocate the Chinese government’s gesture and open  new investment opportunities for the people of the state,” stating that he had very high hope for the rapid industrialisation drive to be a success.
