 A seventy-year-old man has been arrested by the Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly sodomising a 20-year-old man.

A statement by the spokesman of the command, SC Adamu Shehu, said the septuagenarian suspect, Umar Abubakar of Makwalla quarters in Birnin Kudu of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, was arrested for sodomising the 20-year-old man of Zarenawa quarters of same LGA.

The suspect, who is a tea seller, takes advantage of his victim by giving him free tea, Shehu said, adding that the duo were found by a Vigilante Group in a compromised position at about 11 pm in Birnin Kudu market square.

The statement added that both of the suspects confessed to the crimes.

Shehu added that one Ismaddeen Datti, 21, was arrested for sodomizing a 14-year-old boy.

The suspect, who is a resident of Inuwa Dutse Housing Estate, was said to have lured his victim of same address with gifts of money and other items from his provision store.
