Tabitha Cumi Foundation on Thursday launched the Flashlight Action on Girls’ Safety (FLAGS) project to support 750 vulnerable and marginalized girls.

It said the girls within the age range of 10 and 18 years will be supported in 10 communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa and Niger States.

Its Executive Director, Tayo Erinle, said the project, funded by the United Nations Trust Fund, would provide access to multisectoral services to end all forms of violence against children, women and girls within a COVID-19 context.

She said the three-year project was relevant as many girls are not able to access justice and good health when they are violated.

“But through this apart from giving them the information which is power, we are also going to collect and preserve evidence so that justice can be pursued.”
