Eight hundred aged and less privileged people affected by various ailments in Matazu local government area of Katsina State have benefited from free treatment by an NGO, Ukashatu Foundation.

The ailments include ophthalmic cases, hypertension, peptic ulcer and diabetes.

The chairman of the foundation, Dr. Hamza ukashatu Matazu, said benefiaries were drawn from the 10 wards of the area.

In her address at the event, wife of Katsina state governor, Hajia Hadiza Aminu Bello Musari, applauded the effort of the Ukashatu Foundation for saving the lives of the lower class in the area, and urged wealthy individuals to emulate the foundation.
