No fewer than 81 aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State have been cleared to contest for tickets into the House of Representatives across the state’s 11 federal constituencies.
Our correspondent reports that following the release of the list of cleared aspirants for the primary elections scheduled for today, party faithful have been awaiting the distribution of electoral materials at the APC secretariat in Makurdi.
The list showed that Jechira Federal Constituency recorded the highest number of aspirants, with 11 contenders jostling for the party’s ticket.
Buruku, Ado and Gboko federal constituencies each have seven aspirants.

Meanwhile, as of 10:05 a.m., materials for the exercise were yet to leave the APC headquarters in Makurdi for the various constituencies, while party officials had not made any formal announcement regarding the delay.
