A total of 880 patients in Jos and surrounding communities have benefited from a four-day private medical outreach rendered by the management of Salman Hospital in collaboration with the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
Out of the 880 beneficiaries, 46 underwent various surgeries including cesarean section, appendectomy, ovarian cysts and thyphoid perforation and myomectomy (Fibroid), with over 20 medical doctors from the Jos University Teaching hospital providing services.
The Managing Director of Salman Hospital, Dr. Longwap Abdulazis Saleh said the outreach was an annual event which targets 1000 patients, adding that the NMA had assisted with resource persons, including Dr. Dawal Kwande, the State NMA secretary.
