Kaduna State Police Command said a total of nine bandits were neutralized and 70 suspected kidnappers arrested in the state within two months.
The command also said its personnel arrested 73 armed robbery suspects within the same period, while five AK47 rifles were recovered from some of the suspects arrested.
The State Commissioner of Police CP, Ali Audu Dabigi, disclosed this while parading the suspects to newsmen at the police headquarters on Thursday.
He explained that 985 suspected phone snatchers were arrested across the state.

CP Dabigi also added that 1,817 rounds of live ammunition were also recovered by the command.
“So far, 70 kidnapping suspects have been arrested. Nine bandits were neutralized, while 985 suspected phone snatchers were arrested. Five AK47 rifles were recovered.
“Seven locally made arms were recovered and 1,817 rounds of live ammunition were recovered,” he explained.
The commissioner also added that among those arrested was a notorious marabout linked to kidnapper Buderi, and nine suspected rustled cattle were recovered from him on 20th June 2024 by the Operation Yaki Tracking and Response Team.
He said all suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
