The list of candidates was displayed in front of the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as required by the Electoral Act.
The candidates for governorship are; Bala Musa (PDC), Musa Yakubu Wanka (ACPN), Hassan Haruna (ADC), Alhaji Danladi Musa (MPPP), Abdullahi Adamu Usman Dan China (Kowa Party), Jatau Mohammed Awwal (PDP), Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar (APC), Mukhtar Haladu (AD) and Bello Ibrahim (APGA).
For Senate, the candidates displayed are Isah Hamma (APC), Abdul Ningi (PDP) and Inuwa Adamu Nasiru (MPPP) for Bauchi Central. Also,  displayed are Yahaya Mohammed Jahun Galadanci (APGA), Isah Yuguda (PDP), Mallam Ali Wakili (APC), Aliyu Idris Bununu (APA), as candidates for Bauchi South, while names of Suleiman Nazif Gamawa (APC) and Faruk Mustafa (PDP) were displayed as candidates for Bauchi North Senatorial district.
Public affairs officer of the electoral body in the state, Aliyu Abubakar said: “The names of the candidates were displayed in compliance with Section 34 of the Electoral Act. When parties submitted the names of candidates standing for elections the law requires the electoral body to display their names and credentials for people to check.”
