The 9th batch of beneficiaries of the Homeowner’s Charter Scheme programme initiated by Ogun State government has been presented with their Certificate of Occupancy (CofO).
The state governor, Ibikunle Amosun who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa at the ceremony last Friday applauded all concerned agencies for their cooperation at ensuring the success of the programme so far.
He noted that critics who had despised the initiative at inception had seen its sincerity of purpose from the cooperation and numbers of CofO dispatched so far.
Earlier in her speech, the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mrs Amope Chokor said that the Home Owners’ Charter programme was designed by the state government to enable property owners possess legal title land documents.
She said it would be a continuous process as it would help government to know the areas where there is serious infrastructure deficit.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Motunrayo Ogundipe commended the state government for its sincerity, saying that many people doubted government’s intention on the scheme at inception.
