Mr Bashar Hussaini has assumed duty as the 16th Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akwa Ibom State.
Mr Friday Ekerete, the command’s spokesman, who made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday, said that Hussaini was replacing Eluyemi Eluwade who was redeployed to the corps’ headquarters in Abuja.
