In the name of Allah,
Peace be upon Rasulullah,
Every soul shall taste death,
Abdul Rauf’s soul bit death,
We lost a friend,
We lost a comrade,
We lost a son,
We lost a sun,
We lost a husband,
We lost a confidant,
We lost a father,
We lost a brother,
We lost a patriot,
We lost a compatriot,
We lost a nationalist,
We lost an internationalist,
We lost a humanist,
We lost a socialist,
We lost a unionist,
We lost a Pan Africanist,
We lost a researcher,
We lost an inquirer,
We lost a thinker,
We lost a scholar,
We sympathize with Pa, Kate, Asma’u and Seyi,
We empathize with Pa, Kate, Asma’u and Seyi,
We pray for Rauf in his current abode,
We pray for Rauf in his ultimate abode,
May his grave be his peaceful home,
May Jannatul Firdausi be his graceful home,
