Iyeh said the event, over the years, has helped to bring to light the creative talents of especially shy students of the department some of who, she pointed out, found themselves in the department because they were unable to get the score to enter the department of their choice.
 “With this programme, the students would get to value the course and expose themselves to opportunities in theatre arts and also remove shyness from them because the new students must perform in front of the crowd.”
 She added that the event has made the departmental students creative in terms of costume and makeup, thus creating an opportunity for them to be self employed after graduation.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Cordelia Agbebaku, commended the department for hosting the programme over the years, stressing the need for students to relate and have fun.
 Agbebaku encouraged the students to be actively involved in the programme and put to practice what they have learnt in the classroom.
The two-day event was adorned with activities ranging from dancing, comedy and award of certificates to best performers.
