The chairmanship candidate for the February 21, 2026, election in Abaji Area Council of the FCT on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Alhaji Muhammad Angulu Loko, has promised to facilitate the construction of the Rimba-Ebagi road in the council if elected into office.
Loko spoke when he began his electioneering campaign to seek the blessings of the village chiefs of Rimba, Ebagi, and Pachuwa communities of the council on Saturday.
The chairmanship candidate, who was accompanied by the Abaji YPP chapter chairman, Alhaji Alhassan Suleiman and other executives of the party, said the road, if completed, would boost socio-economic activities and facilitate the movement of farm crops to Abaji market.
He expressed concern over the abandonment of the FCTA road project by the contractor, saying access to a good road network should be among the infrastructure that people of the rural areas deserve to feel the impact of, especially the rural farmers.
He also promised to provide speed boats for the riverine community and provide potable drinking water for residents of Ebagi, Rimba, and Pachuwa communities in the area.
The chief of Pachuwa, Aguma Musa Sarki, appreciated the chairmanship candidate for his efforts in identifying with his subjects during his first term as chairman of the council.
He assured the chairmanship candidate of his support and that of his subjects during the February 21, 2026, election.
