The police in Yobe State have confirmed the death of an 11-year-old boy who was kidnapped and fed with hard drugs by his abductors.
The police alleged that one Muhammad Abdullahi (19) kidnapped the victim, who was his neighbour, in Gujba LGA.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Garba, who disclosed this to journalists, said the suspect confessed that he demanded N600,000 from the parents but that they were unable to release the money.
The commissioner said the suspect fed the victim with harmful drugs which resulted to his death and burial in a shallow grave.
He said the command recorded 245 criminal cases involving armed robbery, kidnapping, homicide, raping as well in the last four months.
