Abducted 6-yr-old boy released with a “letter’’

A 6-yr-old boy Jafar Sabo who was allegedly abducted by unknown men has been released after 10 hours in captivity.

The boy was released with a letter to his parents in which he was described as a ‘good child’.
Jafar, a son to an aide of Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Restoration, Alhaji Sabo Musa, was said to have been picked up in a blue car on Saturday by his abductors  at Kadarko Estate in Katsina metropolis.

The abductors later returned the boy on same day and handed him a ‘letter’ addressed to his parents.

The letter reads in parts, “We seek your forgiveness Hajiya. Our reason for the abduction was for ransom, for fear of God, we had a change of mind, but we have sedative him, that is why you will see him in a confuse state.

“Tell your Husband to get the unemployed jobs to do, one of the reasons why we did what we did. We had planned to seek for N10m ransom from your husband, before we realised the truth. Please take good care of Jafar for he’s is good boy, thank you, please sorry.”

Speaking with Daily Trust, the boy’s father Sabo Musa, who confirmed the incident, said the boy was still unconscious, but presently receiving medical attention.

When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah said a case of missing boy was reported earlier, but would make calls to verify and get across which he never did till the time of filing the report.
