Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has described the abduction of Member representing Gudu Constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly Hon Sani Yakubu Gudu and one other person as reprehensible.
“The act, carried out last night at Gudu, by unknown persons is reprehensible and another sad indication of the dire security situation faced by our state and country,” he stated.
This was contained in a statement Friday by Abubakar Shekara, the Director General Media and Public Affairs to the Governor.
The Governor called on all security agencies to leave no stone unturned in order to expedite the rescue of the captives and arrest of the perpetrators of the action.
He prayed for the safety of the victims and quick return to their families and loved ones.
