Our correspondent gathered that the lawmaker’s sister, Tejumade Babalola, was kidnapped at Monatan area of Ibadan on Monday evening.
A source said Babalola closed from the shop and was on a commercial motorcycle when gunmen in a car hurriedly packed, shot sporadically into the air and forced her into the car.
A source close to the family also revealed that the abductors had asked for a ransom of N20 million for the victim.
The source said the incident has not been reported to the police.
He said the family decided to keep the incident from the public because they were already negotiating with the abductors.
Her brother, Sunkammi Babalola, is currently the member representing Egbeda State Constituency in Oyo State House of Assembly.
