Abia State Polytechnic (Abiapoly), Aba has adopted measures to boost the revenue profile of the institution and restore Mass Communication course. 

This was made known by the Rector, Professor Ezionye Eboh, who said that the strategic business unit of the institution had been reinvigorated to raise more revenue.

He said that with enhanced IGR, Abiapoly would overcome the challenge of defaulting in payment of its 1,400 staff whose monthly wage bill was N180 million.

According to him, some of the revenue-yielding businesses owned by the institution have been revived, including the guest house, bakery, and bottled water unit, among others.

The rector also disclosed that Abiapoly was now ready to restore its Mass Communication programme which was suspended for many years.
