ABU graduates 1,165 from Colleges of Agriculture

A total of 1,165 students of Division of Agricultural Colleges, Ahmadu Bello University ABU Zaria graduated on Saturday.

‎Speaking at the ceremony  the university’s  Vice – Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Garba, ‎said 38 graduates passed out with distinction, 354 had Upper Credit, 473 had Lower Credit and 300 had Pass.

He urged them to be good ambassadors of the university at all times.

He also called on ‎them to use the skills, knowledge and training they acquired in meeting the new challenges they will come across as they go into the larger society.

He said the institution would continue to discharge its mandate of teaching, research and community service.

The Director ‎Division of Agricultural Colleges,  Professor Najume Ibrahim Giginya ‎ urged the graduands to be  hardworking, honest and to display good leadership quality anywhere they find themselves.

The Director explained that efforts are being made in the Division to address evolving needs of the colleges through the introduction of new programmes and collaborations in line with the national agricultural extension services policy and its value addition to the farmers.

The Division comprised College of Agriculture Samaru, College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Kaduna and College of Agriculture Kabba.
