Abua is PENGASSAN DPR branch new chairman

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) branch of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has elected Comrade Owan Abua as its chairman.

Abua emerged as chairman during the union’s 5th Triennial Branch Delegates Conference held in Abuja on Wednesday.

He takes over from Comrade Bello Garba and will oversee the affairs of the union alongside Comrade Chijioke Benjamin and Owan David who were elected branch vice chairman and secretary respectively.

The outgoing branch chairman of the union, Bello Garba, said he was pleased the union experienced great change during his regime.

Earlier, the Minister of Petroleum Resources Dr. Ibe Kachikwu who spoke through the Director of Human Resources in the ministry, Ibrahim Mairiga, commended the union for its contribution to the industrial harmony in the oil sector.
