Residents of Kpaduma community, a suburb in Asokoro area of Abuja, have commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for the efforts made so far to develop the community since assumption of office.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja on behalf of the residents, the Secretary General of Kpaduma, Simon Baba Yerima, said the Minister had so far, delivered the residents from all kinds of social vices.
Citing an example on the issue of insecurity in the area, Yerima explained that the minister was always seen going round the area to have town hall meetings with the heads of communities in the area to ensure that the area is secured.
He said during the meetings, the Minister emphasized strongly on the issue of security of their lives, properties and he purchased vehicles , motorcycles and other equipment to make sure Abuja is safe.
“We are peaceful and law-abiding people and we are ready to work with him and urge him to continue with this good work,” he said .
He also thanked President Ahmed Tinubu for appointing an Abuja indigene, Hon Zaphania Jisalo as the first Federal Capital Territory (FCT) native to be Minister since 1999.
