Abuja forum to promote peace through arts, calligraphy

The forum’s spokesman Ustaz Yunus Salahudeen disclosed this yesterday when he led some members on a courtesy visit to Media Trust headquarters in Abuja.
Ustaz Salahudeen said Vice President Namadi Sambo, Sultan of Sokoto Abubakar Sa’ad and Archbishop John Onaiyekan and other prominent Muslim and Christian leaders are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition on September 14.
He said the exhibition would showcase over 300 outstanding art works and Islamic cultural heritage and their relevance to the contemporary world.
It will also create a platform for collaboration and exchange of ideas between Nigerian artists and their counterparts from other parts of the world, he said, and solicited for media coverage towards successful hosting of the exhibition.
Other members of the forum who accompanied Ustaz Salahudeen include Luqmaan  Hakeem, Muzzamil Sulaiman, Mohammad Shehu and Zulqarnain AbdurRahmaan.
