The Abuja Newspaper Distributors Association (ANDA) has expressed sorrow over the death of Alhaji Isa Funtua, who died on July 20, 2020.

In a statement signed by Comrade Benji Obute (president) and Femi Emmanuel (secretary) of ANDA respectively, the association said, “The association believes that the death of Alhaji Isa, who was the Managing Director (MD) of Democrat Newspaper and a former President of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has created a huge vacuum in the print media industry which will take a long time to be filled,” and prayed for the repose of his soul.

In a related development, the association mourned one of its founding members, Chief Joseph Anyadike, who also died last month.

ANDA eulogised the late Anyadike for his contributions to the growth and development of the association and prayed God to grant him eternal rest and console his family.
