At least 10 Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) are fully ready for a fierce contest when the 2025 PFA Games kick off in Abuja from November 24 to 29.

The five-day competition will see teams lock horns across a wide spectrum of events which include football (7/9-a-side), volleyball, table tennis, snooker, scrabble, chess, team-bonding activities, and esports (Fifa).

Speaking at the draws, Promise Onyedikachi Moses, Executive Assistant at Turf Arena Sports Centre (TASC), said the 2025 Games will elevate standards with a point-based system designed to intensify competition.

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So the aim of this game is to bring these PFAs together to bond, have fun, and relax,” he said.

Among the contenders, Trustfund Pensions, champions in 2023, arrived with renewed confidence. Mr. Modestus Amaefule is hopeful to see more PFAs participate in next editions.

“We won the 2023 edition as Trust Fund Pensions. These games give us a chance to unwind, relax, and connect outside work.

“It’s always an opportunity to laugh, joke around… That’s what these games have meant over the years. I would truly love to see a wholesome, fully inclusive PFA Games that brings all PFAs together,” he said.

But defending champions FCMB Pension, winners in 2022 and 2024, insist they are not stepping aside.

“We’re not relinquishing the title. We remain relentless, focused, and far from complacent,” said Mr. Isah Kabir Umar.
