The estate, according to the firm in a statement, will accommodate 76 units of “Green Buildings,” which will be developed at a cost of N2bn.
It consists of 26 blocks of three-bedroom detached duplexes and 50 units of five-bedroom detached duplexes on 20 hectares of land.
The project, according to the statement, is being funded by Skye Bank Plc and will be completed in 12 months.
The estate will feature perimeter fencing, pipe borne water supply, alternative power supply to complement Power Holding Company of Nigeria and road networks.
“The main feature of the project, based on the recommendation by the Federal Capital Development Authority is that the area reserved for garden and other green areas as contained in the approved site layout shall not be built up in the future and at least, five trees must be planted within premises to protect the environment,” the Chairman, Nekonini Business and Properties, Mr. Niran Sule-Akinsuyi, said.
According to him, the philosophy behind green buildings is the limited amount of resources available.
“If we want our future generations to enjoy the same standard of living that we have experienced, we need to take action,” he said.
