The Chairman of the FCT wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Comrade Stephen Knabayi, has said the union will never allow welfare of teachers at all levels to be compromised.
Knabayi, represented by the FCT NUT third vice chairman, Comrade Yinah Obadiah Terver, stated this at the launch of the first maiden magazine of the Kwali branch of the union in the area on Thursday.

He said the union would explore every avenue to ensure it prevents any individual or group of persons that want to compromise the welfare of the teachers in the FCT.
“We as a union at the state level will never allow the welfare of our teachers to be compromised either by an individual or group of persons. That is why we have continued to stand our ground to ensure that the minimum wage of our primary school teachers is paid,” he said.
