Academic staff at Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, have elected new deans of schools to replace former deans whose tenure expired.

The teacher development programme, funded by UK Department for International Development, is to support targeted improvement in the quality of teaching to boost learning outcomes of children in basic education in at least six states, said the programme national manager Nguyan Feese in a statement.
Representatives of state and federal education authorities meeting at the workshop will assess materials and methods for strengthening development of teachers.
They will also hope to reach agreement on “best ways to enable the TDP most effectively build on, reinforce and extend work already being done by stakeholders,” Feese added.
