N-Youth Sports Academy has announced two strategic appointments aimed at strengthening its institutional leadership and enhancing technical development across its sporting programmes.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Academy confirmed Dr. Obi Okehi as its new Grand Patron and Ambassador Henry Abiodun as Technical Consultant.

As Grand Patron, Dr. Okehi is expected to provide overall guidance to the Academy, support stakeholder engagement and drive efforts to expand scholarship opportunities for young athletes. His role will also include strengthening partnerships that reinforce the Academy’s blend of academic and athletic development.

Ambassador Abiodun, appointed as Technical Consultant, will oversee the design and standardisation of technical programmes across various sports, with a focus on football. His mandate covers coach education, match analysis, talent identification systems and the integration of performance data in athlete development.

The Director of N-Youth Sports Academy, Enes Çaylı, said the appointments signal a new chapter in the institution’s growth.
“The addition of Dr. Obi Okehi and Ambassador Henry Abiodun strengthens our ‘Well-Educated Sports Champions’ vision. These appointments mark a new phase for our institutional partnerships and technical development,” he said.

Reacting to his appointment, Dr. Okehi expressed optimism about the Academy’s future.
“I’m excited to support N-Youth in creating world-class opportunities for our young athletes — both in education and sports,” he noted.

Ambassador Abiodun said his focus would be on building a modern and sustainable development system.
“We aim to establish a system built on scientific training, data analysis and sustainable player development — turning local talent into global success stories,” he said.

The Academy said the new appointments align with its mission to expand scholarship access, improve competitiveness in tournaments and further promote its integrated model of academic excellence and elite sports performance.
