Access Bank Plc has launched an offline banking platform in a bid to deepen financial inclusion for customers to manage and carry out uninterrupted daily transactions.
The bank’s Deputy Managing Director, Victor Etuokwu, during the launch held in Lagos, said the offline platform- 901.ng is aimed at redefining convenience and ensuring uninterrupted access to financial services even in the absence of internet connectivity.
“In today’s fast-paced digital age, connectivity is often taken for granted. However, millions of individuals worldwide still face challenges accessing online banking services due to various reasons such as poor internet infrastructure, remote locations, or security concerns,” he said.
“Recognising this gap, Access Bank has developed this solution to empower our customers to bank securely, anytime, anywhere, irrespective of internet availability,” he said.

Also the bank’s Group Head, Consumer Banking, Njideka Esomeju stated that there has been an increase in the number of both smartphone and non-smartphone users, hence the need to cater for their financial services.

She said non-smartphone phone users can send money, buy airtime, and pay bills whilst incurring no extra fees or hidden charges with no internet subscription required.
