Access Bank has appointed Ms Hadiza Ambursa as its executive director, Commercial Banking, North.

Until her appointment, she was general manager and group head, Commercial Bank, North and non-executive director in Access Bank (Gambia) Limited.

A statement from the bank stated that Ambursa is a thorough-bred banking professional with outstanding record of achievements.

According to the statement, her appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

She has over 20 years banking experience from Guaranty Trust Bank and Access Bank covering transaction services, public sector, commercial bank and corporate finance.

Prior to joining Access Bank in 2003, she was a Relationship Manager Public Sector at Guaranty Trust Bank.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from University of Jos in 1991 and Master of Arts degree in Law and Diplomacy in 1996 from the same university.

Ambursa also attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2009.
