The new Sector Commander of the FRSC in Borno, Adeboye Alfred Oyeniyi, said this while speaking to Kanem Trust adding that the command would use the media to educate and enlighten the people on the dangers inherent in reckless driving

He said that the FRSC would also collaborate with other security agencies like the police and traffic wardens to ensure safety on the roads.

Oyeniyi said the command would arrange for interactive meetings with members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other stakeholders in the transport business on the same issues.

The commander noted that there was inherent danger in just parking anyhow on the highway, saying the drivers would be educated first before any action would be taken against them. He advised motorists to avoid over speeding, overloading and comply with highway rules so that the roads could be a safer place for everybody.
