A female accomplice of a suspected kidnapper identified as Jennifer has scaped from the Edo State Juvenile Remand Home at Ugbekun in Ikpoba-Okha local government area.

Jennifer was arrested for helping a suspected kidnapper by selling phones collected from kidnapped victims along the Benin-Auchi highway.

She was taken to the remand home as she was underage.

The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Magdalene Ohenhen, confirmed the incident but did not give details.

The Edo State  Police  Public Relation officer, DSP Moses Nkombe, said he was yet to be briefed on the development.
