Accreditation has started in several polling units in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital. Also, reports across the state indicate that voters have arrived at their polling units to carry out the accreditation exercise .

The turn-out of voters was impressive as the number almost doubled that of the presidential polls at some of the polling centres.

Some Electorate went with generating sets to some of the polling centres to assist  INEC if the need arose.

Some of the voters interviewed attributed the large turn-out to renewed confidence in the electoral process.

“Now that I am  sure that my vote counts, I am encouraged to come out and vote,” Mr Ayodele Adejobi, a civil servant said at unit 2, ward   Kuto area of Abeokuta South council area. 

At  Itoku market polling unit in Abeokuta South area, the APC house of assembly candidate, Idowu Olowofuja representing Abeokuta South II said he was satisfied with the accreditation process and also pleased with the turnout.
