Accreditation commenced in most polling unit at 8 am. People were seen in most of the centres in Taraku, Gwer East and Aliade in Gwer West as well as Otukpo metroplis in Benue state in an orderly manner, taking their turns to do accreditation.

Voters said the process was going on well and that the card readers are working well except for reports from a polling unit in Otukpa where the electorates complained that the card reader was not working at all.

The Senate President David Mark was accreditation exactly 10:15am at his Otukpo Club 011B polling unit.

He said: “The entire environment is so peaceful. It requires a lot of patience for the card readers to go. The essence is to make sure that the entrie Nigerians vote and that their votes counts. I had to clean my hands at various time because the first time it didn’t work,” he said.
