ACPN trains 200 pharmacists on COVID-19 vaccination

The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) will soon train 200 community pharmacists on vaccination for COVID-19 and other diseases.

The National Chairman of the association, Dr. Samuel Adekola stated this Thursday in Abuja during the launch of a 1,350 square meter plot of land for the construction of the association’s liaison office.

He said the training would be conducted during the association’s Annual General Meeting and Scientific conference in Abeokuta , Ogun state next week. He added that it would contribute to the federal government’s effort in vaccination of Nigerians against COVID-19, and other diseases.

“The target of the conference is to train about 200 community pharmacists as the first leg in acts of vaccination, so that we can have more vaccinators in our communities in different places.

“This is part of our contributions to the government’s effort in vaccinating Nigerians. So the government should open its hand to receive us through the Federal Ministry of Health and National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA),” he said.

He also said the association was committed to reducing the rate of unemployment in the country if supported and given recognition by the federal government.
