In a bid to identify and nurture young football talents across Nigeria, ACT Sports Di Oyibo, in partnership with the Torino FC Academy of Italy, has extended its operations to Ondo State with the inauguration of a new branch in Ondo City.

Founder and Director of ACT Sports Di Oyibo Academy, Pastor Samuel, explained that the decision to expand was largely influenced by the passion and commitment of Coach Michael, an Ondo-born trainer who has played a key role in the academy’s success.

“Coach Michael’s dedication to youth development inspired us to establish a branch in his home state,” Pastor Samuel said. “The Ondo center will serve as a hub for discovering and training promising footballers across the South-West region.”

He further revealed that the academy’s expansion plans include new branches in Zamfara, Nasarawa, and Abuja, alongside ongoing discussions for additional collaborations nationwide.

During the inauguration, the academy’s Chief Scout — ex-international and UEFA license holder, Peter Nieketien — supervised a talent screening session that identified several promising young players.

The academy’s Curator, Mr. Oduwefo Ikechukwu, expressed delight at the warm reception from the Ondo community, describing the scouting event as “peaceful, exciting, and well-attended.”

Similarly, the academy’s Secretary and Translator, Maria G. Di Blasi, praised the impressive turnout of young participants, noting that the initiative would help keep children engaged productively while offering them structured football education and global exposure.
