Bruno Iwuoha: I act because I have a passion for it. My passion for acting made me who I am today and gave me determination, patience, endurance and perseverance.
WM: Do you face challenges in the movie industry?
Iwuoha: I face so many challenges raging from not receiving our welfare when the time is due at the location, the inability of producers giving us our reward when due, the risk of having to travel from one destination to the other to shoot a movie, etc.
WM: With the challenges you mentioned what motivated you to still push on?
Iwuoha: My fans, the crowd of people who love what I do. Whatever we give out to the public should not be compared with what we get, that is the motivation. Those appreciations given to us by people, and knowing that we put food on people’s tables most especially those not employed, for instance, the marketers.
WM: What is a movie to you?
Iwuoha: Movie is not acting; it is portraying and putting your best into the part being assigned to you to act. In a movie you send out a message to the viewers and make them see the point you are driving at. You act with passion, emotion, patience and with the whole of your heart.
WM: What is the one thing people don’t know about you?
Iwuoha: Is not just acting I take personally and seriously. I have the fear of God in me, I worship God with all my heart without reservation, He is the ultimate He made me who I am today and without his mercy and favour in my life I would not have succeeded. So I feel my love for God supersedes all other things.
WM: What advice do you have for people who have watched your movies and wish to be like you?
Iwuoha: I would not ask them to be or do what I did when I joined the industry but all in all perseverance. You have to respect an elder for you to be an elder. Bring yourself down to be able to learn and get directives from those who were there before you. In all perseverance and respect; without wearing this as a part of your jacket, it will be difficult for anyone to see you moving forward. Put in your best because you have a great potential in you. Struggle does not kill, but brings out the best in you. Every diamond was formed by the crack of earthquake; so you must make up your mind because the meeting point doesn’t leave you the same it leaves you with a language that you will never recover from its encounter.
